What's NewFYSH Camping Trip
On the weekend of June 25-27, 2004, the first annual FYSH camping weekend was held in Algonquin Park. The weather was great, the bugs co-operative (i.e. they stayed away!) and the company outstanding. In attendance were Jeff and Fran with Scott and Rachel, JVD and Jean-Claude, Aili and Leif, Jeff and Jodi, Gene and Catherine, Vicky and Manu, Adam and Laura with Tristan, and Adina with TJ :-)
Highlights of the weekend included some great day hikes in Algonquin, canoeing around Whitefish Lake, swimming and frisbee playing in the 'refreshing' cool waters, admiring JVD and Claude's posh camping trailer with both heat and running water, the traditional birthday watermelon, and a big potluck dinner on Saturday night. Great times were had by all - we laughed and played and slept soundly under the stars, and we look forward to making this an ongoing tradition where we'll see even more FYSH in the years to come!

Congratulations Prashant!
Our very own Dr. Ramanathan successfully completed his PhD defense on May 26, 2004, after ~7 years of hard work at Stanford University! Here's a a short (.avi) clip of his presentation. His graduation ceremony was on June 13, 2004. Sniff Sniff, we're so proud of our littl boy - they grow up so fast don't they! ;-)
