A Taste of Belgium

A friend from the office and I took a trip to Belgium for the weekend a while back. We left on Thurs afternoon and returned that Sunday, for work on Monday. It was great! He actually missed his connecting flight through Chicago, and was unsure whether he would be able to catch the next one. I decided to go anyway, and found myself on a plane to Europe alone. After working 12-13 hrs/day all week, I had no time to research or make plans (I had to look at a map to locate Belgium, while on the plane). It turned out to be a great weekend. We toured Brussels and Brugge, ogled our share of European women and drank our share of Belgian beer. The others in the photo of Brugge were Canadians we ran into at the Brauhaus Hostel and drank with all night. The Brussels shot was of the two of us trying to fit in with the locals in the Grand Square (we were actually mistaken for locals and hit on by a group of 17yr old Spice girl look-alikes). Needless to say, we had a great time.
