Mutual Benefit chooses TimeTiger
February 17, 2010 — A group of Huntingdon, PA-based Mutual Benefit's employees will soon report their project time using the TimeTiger time and project tracking system, it was announced today by Mutual Benefit Group and Indigo Technologies Ltd., developer of TimeTiger.
TimeTiger will be Mutual Benefit's platform for allocating resources efficiently and tracking progress on its software projects. The insurance company, with consolidated assets that exceeded $189 million in 2009, will use TimeTiger's API to integrate its internal project initiation system with TimeTiger's simple yet powerful labour capture, project tracking and reporting tools.
Mutual Benefit's Systems and Programming Manager Carol Aulick said the regional property and casualty insurance firm chose TimeTiger as it is widely known as the time tracking software people actually use. "There are three key benefits we expect to realize with the use of TimeTiger," she said. "One is to do a better job planning future projects by having a historical record, the second is to do a much more effective job of resource planning and utilization, and the third is to more accurately determine the cost of projects."
More than 95,000 individuals and businesses in Pennsylvania and Maryland hold Mutual Benefit insurance policies. The firm offers a full line of property/casualty insurance, marketing its coverage through 250 independent insurance agents. Mutual Benefit has been in business since 1908, and is currently rated A- (Excellent) by A.M. Best.
Indigo was founded in 1997 as a custom software development consultancy. Its own need for a painless, powerful project tracking solution led Indigo to create TimeTiger. Since 1999, the company has focused exclusively on delivering solutions to help organizations worldwide better manage their time and projects.
