Overland Park just became smarter at running itself
February 15, 2010 — The second "smartest" city in the country, Overland Park, Kansas, has just become that much smarter at running itself.
"Some 60 of our employees are now keeping time and project logs on TimeTiger software, which is known worldwide for being easy to use and using very little users' time to fill out time sheets," said Tim Shipley of the City's Information Technology Department. "By gaining a better understanding of the value of our services, we will be able to prioritize requests and allocate resources more effectively, he added."
Described by Fox Business News & Business Week as "... one of the best cities for entrepreneurs and start up businesses," Overland Park is the second "smartest" city in the country, according to a study that examined cities with the highest percentage of residents age 25 and over with four-year college degrees. Overland Park has 56.1% residents with college degrees. A suburb of the greater Kansas City metropolitan area and the second largest city in Kansas, Overland Park has a population of more than 173,000.
TimeTiger, a web-based time and project tracking system developed and supported by Toronto-based Indigo Technologies Ltd., serves clients in the US and Canada, as well as (currently) in the UK, Sweden, Netherlands, and Germany. Indigo’s own need for a painless, powerful project tracking solution led the company to create TimeTiger.
